blog post 5

For this assignment we had to edit a video to add animation and effects to pictures and videos. in order to achieve this I used the effect control tab on the pictures to add animation for position, scale, and rotation like we learned in class. this allowed me to change the aspects of the picture and text when the section they where in was played. also used this tab in order to zoom into the video. then finally i used to time selection tool in order to make the video slow down at specific points.

blog post #4

Photo

In this assignment we had to rake a picture and use the colors in the picture to make color pallets and name plates. The picture I used is the one bellow which is a page from one on the DnD players handbooks. It has a wide range of colors from dark to very light colors like a blood red color and golden yellow color.

Color pallets

For the making of the color pallets I used in-design and its multiple useful tools like the dropper rectangle tool and swatches window in order to make the boxes and make the colors for the pallets. I first had to make the boxes that i wanted to color in with the rectangle tool. Then i used the dropper tool in order to get color off of the picture and put some of them in  he boxes. Then finally I used the swatches tab to make new lighter colors in order to fill in the other boxes and finish the Pallets.

Nameplates

The name plates are are made using in design and the previous made swatches and can be used as name plates for a linkden profiles. The nameplates have basic infromation in them such as my name and what majors are. These nameplates helped us learn about color contrast and how to mach up different colors as well as learn more about the text tool in indesign.

taking the right shots

It's hard

many people have a hard time taking good shots of anything hear is some ways to take shots of a simple object

rule of three

this toilet is separated into three segments on some cameras and the camera on most phones can show a grid on the screen this image has the bottom line match up with the connecting part of the toilet seat.

lines

lines have a large impact on an image such as if you try to match up the image to a line on the floor. The picture above is one such example in this picture the line on the wall is matched up to the edge of the picture.

Remove distractions

Many people may get distracted by background objects in a picture and not focus on the image you want them to so the best way to do this is to try and remove most other non important objects in a shot. In this pictures you can see that instead of having all the other objects that where in the room in the picture it focuses mainly on the toilet. This allows you to have the main idea or image of a picture more emphasized and easier to see

angles

One of the best ways to make a picture better is to change the angle of witch you take it this can allow you to see something in a new way change the lighting and remove distractions all at the same time. The picture above helps show this because the lighting is different there are less distraction like the bars on the wall and the cabinet in the corner and by cutting of the top part of the toilet it lets you focus on the seat the most important part.

lighting and symmetry

The lighting on an object can change a picture and many people love symmetry in a shot. Lighting is important because sometimes you can see different things in more or less light like when some things glow in the dark. Many people find symmetry very pleasing and like when a shot is as equal on one side as it is one the other so having symmetry in a shot can appeal to people.
